In a very idyllic and quiet location on the edge of the Fichtelgebirge mountains, 8 km from the festival city of Bayreuth, you will find this approx. 30 square metre log cabin made of Finnish logs, surrounded by 6,000 square metres of fenced land.There is also a children's playground and a sauna on the property, which can be heated with wood.

There is plenty of wood available.

Both are of course freely accessible without prior arrangement.

We have also thought of a car park for our guests.The cottage has a very cosy living room with sofa (new), sitting area and wood-burning stove, new LHD TV, radio, telephone, CD player, DVD player and Internet connection are available, but can be switched off or removed if required.

The parvi can be reached via a rung ladder.

There is a sleeping area with a new mattress for two people under the roof of the cottage.

The living room leads to a small bedroom with bunk beds for two people and a desk: all made of wood.

A passageway connects the living room with the kitchen at the other end.

The kitchen is fully equipped except for a dishwasher and oven.

It offers space and tools for successful and idyllic cooking and barbecue evenings.

The bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin can also be accessed from here.

The shower - like the cottage itself - is Finnish-style: there is no shower tray as is standard here: the water falls directly onto the bathroom floor, which initially seems unusual to us.

However, we can report from our own experience that you get used to it very quickly.

The bathroom itself then provides the door to the cosy seating area behind the hut.

The view of the ancient jungle can quickly put the hectic pace of everyday life into perspective.The accommodation is located on the edge of the Fichtelgebirge, known as a ski resort in winter, with a summer toboggan run and a lake, wonderful for excursions in summer.

The Fichtelgebirge has a very rustic character, while the neighbouring Franconian Switzerland, with its many baroque churches and lovely countryside, is just a stone's throw away.baroque churches and its lovely landscape.

The festival andcultural city of Bayreuth is just 15 minutes away, famous for its world heritage site, theMargravial Opera House and also as a festival city.An idyllic walk up the road into the unspoilt forest with wonderful views of the villages in the valley and Franconian Switzerland is a great way to "switch off".

The Fichtelgebirge and Franconian Switzerland can be reached by car in about 30 minutes.

A wonderful thermal spa is just 2 km away.

The next larger town Bayreuth (approx. 15 min) offers shopping facilities, various bars and small clubs, as well as many interesting sights.
